REALLY IMPORTANT EDITION.

^clickbait. It's not that important, but I trust my oppo compatriots with this more than most others in my life.

So here is the scoop.

My ex but friendly just moved back to town. Needs to be getting a car or ute. I am volunteering them the use of the 18 foot long six foot wide war wagon until they get on their feet here, hence the lead shot.

Here is where you come in. I need the glorious oppo mindshare to look through and make some good informed suggestions based on what is for sale around us.

Once the mindshare does it's mindsharing I will be actually forwarding this to them to take a look at, so be creative.

Requirements:

Rough budget of 3k.

Manual

Spory Ute, Hatch, or wagon-with ok cargo with the seats dropped.

Relatively economical both to run and throw parts at.

Must have character of some kind.

Classics or modern are ok.

Any drive configuration.

Easy to work on (say somewhere between geo metro levels of complexity and late model BMW levels of complexity) (because I will be doing the service work)

No country of origin discrimination really. Though has had best driving synergy with japs and domestics.
